Nami – Oyster Parks and Table: a must-visit at the heart of Andernos-les-Bains port

RESTAURANTS

On the edge of the Andernos-les-Bains oyster port, on Quai Lucasson (cabin 88-89), sits an address that's now talked about across the whole Bassin d'Arcachon: Nami - Oyster Parks and Table. Where many just see a simple oyster tasting, Nami offers a true oyster experience, blending local production, know-how, warmth and an exceptional waterfront setting.

An oyster cabin anchored in its own production

At the head of Nami, you'll find Sébastien Vigier, oyster farmer and manager of the operation. His goal is simple and ambitious: produce quality oysters, directly on site, while respecting the Bassin d'Arcachon environment and traditions. Here, you see, smell, live the production. Sébastien works his oysters on site, in the bay's parks, and he's set up a purification tank to guarantee maximum quality of what ends up on your plate.

Nami isn't just a point of sale: it's a place where production meets the table. The oysters served come from Sébastien's own production, raised in the bay's parks by traditional methods, then finished and served fresh on site or to go.

It's this direct link between local production and tasting that gives Nami its authenticity. You're not tasting "oysters in Andernos", you're tasting the oysters of the farmer who raises them - and that, on the water's edge, changes everything.

What we tasted

At the table, Nami doesn't stop at raw oysters. Yes, they're the star, well-raised, delicate in taste and perfectly finished, but the tasting doesn't stop there.

On our visit, the oysters captured us - shining with freshness, full of character and with a fineness that immediately recalls the Bassin d'Arcachon's identity. Nami offers an experience centered on these oysters, but you can feel the offer can extend: prawns and whelks can also join if you want to round out the tasting, and these products blend naturally with the cabin's marine spirit.

We also note the presence of sides like a locally-made artisanal pâté, a pleasant change from classic sides, or a selection of light Bordeaux wines, designed to underline the finesse of seafood without ever dominating it.

What strikes most at Nami is the purity of the products. There's no excess, no artifice: everything is there to let each element's intrinsic quality speak. And facing the water, the oysters tasted become almost meditative, every bite extending into the landscape, like an invitation to savor the moment as much as the taste.

The vibe, the location, the experience

What makes Nami special isn't just what's on the plate, but the place itself. Set directly on Quai Lucasson (cabin 88-89), facing the little oyster museum, the establishment offers a terrace where the view over the Bassin d'Arcachon becomes a full ingredient of the meal. When we visited late afternoon, the bay was covered in golden colors, seagulls skimmed the water, and the vibe was both relaxed and alive - exactly what you'd want from a good oyster outing.

The layout is functional without being pretentious. There's a covered area in case of rain, more intimate corners for those who prefer to sit sheltered, and enough space to enjoy the landscape when the weather is nice.

We found Nami's organization particularly clear and tuned to Bassin d'Arcachon oyster life: the address is open 7 days a week, lunch and dinner, with hours often regular but adjusted to weather and tides, which can force some last-minute changes announced on site or via their social channels.

The offered experience isn't limited to a simple on-site tasting: Nami also offers takeaway, a click & collect service, and even shipping across France if you want to extend the moment or share it with loved ones who aren't in the bay. On capacity, the cabin can host up to 69 people, making it a fit for more festive or convivial meals, for groups or special occasions. We also noted Nami's presence at local markets - notably in Gradignan some Sundays - further illustrating the farmer's territorial anchoring and commitment to regional life.

In short, organization, services and flexibility show that Nami knows how to bring to life a complete oyster experience, with real coherence between production, tasting and sharing. Validated by Bordeaux Confidentiel.
