Big Bean Canteen "In Bed" or the art of being served straight at home…
Our restaurateurs have talent… and ideas! We all cannot wait to see our restaurateurs and these restaurants we love so much again. You may already know it, but Big Bean Canteen is one of our favourite spots.
The team had the privilege of testing Big Bean Canteen's takeaway mode.
On top of the services in the restaurant itself, our charming couple Laurie and Clément have set up, across the Bordeaux Métropole, two delicious delivery solutions:
- First, around the restaurant, in the Fondaudège district, hot delivery.
- Then, takeaway or delivery across the Métropole ordered the day before to be enjoyed the next day, the "cold" brunch option.

For the occasion, the team tested the "Cold to reheat at home" option, with the chef's smart tips and YouTube tutorials (great idea by the way, the chef posts tutorials on youtube to help you reheat and put your brunch together at home like a pro!).
So, what did we eat? The Massive, now a must, local-farm eggs, artisanal Cumberland sausage, homemade bacon, black pudding, homemade beans… And truly English cheese too, from Neal's Yard Dairy… And for the ultimate treat, the family favourite: the fabulous pancakes, to die for!!
Freshness is guaranteed by the chef with a use-by date on each product.
The conclusion of the experience:
The "kit" is very well done, just pop everything in the oven, the eggs to each taste, the yogurt & muesli and seasonal fruit salad are absolutely fresh!
We were already won over by this spot, but starting your morning with Big Bean Canteen, at home, right after waking up… That beats any morning routine!
