CLIMAX 2021
AFRICA, CRADLE OF THE FUTURE
27-28-29 August
This year, enjoy Climax festival dedicated to the African continent, "cradle of the future strongly marked by tough geopolitical and security realities as by immense potentials".
On the program: music, talks, meetings, roundtables... With ambition "to create a new imaginary and announce, to open the way to new practices" as organizers say. This Climax edition promises many wonders.
? Exchange, meeting, reflection... This year's program dances and the team wants to raise awareness
about all the issues African countries face: climate disruption, population
growth, growing insecurity, organized resource looting, continuous erosion of
biodiversity...
? HILDA FLAVIA NAKABUYE (nicknamed the Ugandan Greta Thunberg, figurehead of ecology in
Africa and of ecological mobilization in Uganda will also be present!
? An exhibition by Médecins Sans Frontières: 50 years of humanity.
? Guests, street art artists like Lady Bug!
And many other surprises!!

A real heartbreak! Climax 2020 organizers (6th edition) had to cancel due to COVID-19. News, contamination, fear killed this event (like others) in that so-particular year 2020. See you next year to happily find these CLIMAX our team loves!

GLOBAL WARNING
5 to 8 September
This year, Yanonami Indians are spotlighted, expressing their love " Ya pihi irakema " (a part of you lives and grows in me).
Climax raises an alert on these worlds, these ecosystems, these places dying in general indifference. The Amazon, the planet's green lung - with oceans, the blue lung, essential for oxygen production, a true biodiversity crucible, continues to be ravaged and dies a bit more each year.
This 5th edition is dedicated to "The Amazon, or the uprooting of the world". A chance to meet prestigious guests including Chief Raoni.

ECO MOBILIZATION
6 to 9 September
Climax's 4th edition is launched, and this year, heavy stuff coming!
Jane Goodall and Edgar Morin, and on the concert side Jeanne Added, Mr Oizo and Bachar Mar Khalife among others... A line-up matching this colorful festival's ambitions.

CLIMAX 2017
7 to 10 September
This 3rd edition promises rich stuff! Perfectly between party and reflection. For this third edition, the festival expands with an electric stage in Palmer park. Over four days, Climax lets your delicious madness express itself, and your mind cultivate itself while questioning worrying causes: health, ecology, animal condition and social justice.
Note that this year, CLIMAX takes place at Rocher Palmer and not at Darwin as one might think.

For COP21 and its 25th anniversary, Surfrider Foundation Europe organizes with Darwin eco-system a big festive, artistic event, but above all a driver of citizen gathering on climate change and ocean protection issues. Ocean Climax festival runs 10 to 13 September in Bordeaux. Unique chance to raise awareness and engage citizens months before COP21.
This will be Bordeaux's first Climax festival!!! Long live Climax!
