Café & tea room

As soon as you arrive in front of LE PETIT CAFÉ, you are genuinely grabbed by this terrace and these dark colours playing on the contrasts between the shopfront, the chairs and tables, and the ochre-and-light Bordelais stone.

Just step through the door to get the coup de grâce: it is gorgeous. The magic works right away, the staff is there to welcome you, and let me tell you, you feel like family straight away. Attentive, friendly, smiling (even with masks), they take care of you and walk you through this world they built 'almost' for you.

The decoration

M.A.G.N.I.F.I.C.E.N.T! It is beautiful, elegant, packed with details… Honestly, it has a rare elegance and refinement. You feel good there right away. The detail is everywhere, even in the toilets (I want the same at home!).

You can feel a lot of attention has been paid to the decor. Every object, every piece of furniture finds its own spot and no other.

The welcome

Back to the staff. They are lovely. I think we chatted with a good chunk of them, all the way to the head chef. And each time, it was a moment of sharing and smiles. Many venues in Bordeaux suffer from a lack of professionalism, and here the team is remarkably kind, which I wanted to highlight (fine, we already have our favourite but we will not say who).

So, are we going back?

Oh yes! We are going back, coming back… We loved this place and the atmosphere here. I think LE PETIT CAFÉ is on the way to becoming one of Bordeaux Confidentiel's favourites.

We will go back very very soon. Again… and again… To find this atmosphere and the people who make it come alive.
