A stray whisper let me in on the opening of a "little" restaurant well worth the trip.
It took no less to brave the danger of a soft spring evening and wake up my taste buds in (very) good company.
Le Chicoula opened barely 3 weeks ago.
A place decorated with taste to highlight works from different local artists (hence the "bistrot d'art"…).
A warm and pro welcome from the sommelier, and an introduction to the restaurant's story with the mother of the founder-chef.
Fascinating and touching.
The tone was set for a perfect evening.
All that was missing was the plate.

It is no accident the chef named the restaurant "Chicoula". It comes from Provençal and means "to savour".
Before travelling and offering us a culinary blend of world flavours, the chef learned alongside Jean Coussau, Alain Ducasse, Frédéric Bacquié, Eric Guérin…
